You can make the mini snowflake as well and it will look great as an earring.
And also, the free snowflake is very similar to Nivis snowflake, but the edge is different and required fewer 3mm round beads. Nivis is the top one and the lower two are the free tutorial.

And it is the same with most of my tutorials, you can substitute bead shapes but with the same size. You can use 4mm czech fire polished instead of 4mm bicone crystals. The 3mm round pearls can be substituted with czech fire polished, druk beads or even bicone crystals. 11/0 Czech seed beads also work fine on this design (the pastel rainbow).
